VALENTINE'S DAY APPEAL

Valentine’s Day is upon us. This holiday reminds us to express our love and appreciation for the people we care about. Here at Berest Dance Center, we love our dancers, faculty, alumni, families, and community members. Our shared passion for dance nurtures a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Your enthusiastic participation enhances our close-knit Berest Dance Center community. With gratitude and appreciation in our hearts, we wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Last year Berest Dance Center proudly introduced Dance for Joy, an opportunity for young dancers to enjoy free lessons each Sunday. Dance for Joy is thriving thanks to our volunteer teachers, benefactors, and eager dancers. We invite you to make a Valentine’s Day contribution to fund tuition and dancewear costs and continue classes for students who otherwise could not afford lessons. Your donation can help us expand our efforts and sustain programming for our current dancers, who will graduate to a new level that requires twice-a-week instruction in the coming Fall.

Together, with your gift, we can achieve our mission to make the joy of movement accessible and fun for all, allowing more dancers to develop their talents, build confidence, and grow friendships in a caring, supportive, and affirming atmosphere.

Thank you for your generous support.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Since 1976, the Berest Dance Center has provided excellent training in a non-competitive, supportive atmosphere. The studio is family owned by nationally recognized Olga Berest as director and internationally known daughter Heather Berest (Paul Taylor Dance Company, Momix) as artistic director.

The goal of Berest Dance Center is to make the joy of movement accessible for both fun and for professional training and to be an alternative to NYC dance training.

Testimonial

I'm writing this note with deep appreciation for the lovely Newsday article written about two exceptional young women who contribute their time to Dance for Joy. My husband and I spend a lot of time talking about humanity and the endless barrage of hateful actions in which our country seems to be mired. And then I read something like this piece and I feel hopeful again. So thank you for creating the opportunity for people to do good, to be good... to let us know that humanity is not lost.

— With tremendous gratitude, Robin Hummel
