Lower Level Dance Program (ages 6-11)
Berest Dance Center is a place where we say “oops”! The fear of making a mistake and being teased for it can be paralyzing. It keeps children from taking chances, discovering their abilities, and just having fun.
At our school we say “oops” to tell the world what’s the big deal if we don’t get the step right away!
Our lower level syllabus is specifically designed to prepare students for the requirements of Level 1 through Level 3a. Classes are combinations of ballet and tap and hiphop fusion. At level 3, ballet begins a one hour class that is mandatory to enroll in the combination class of tap and hiphop fusion.
Dress Code Is indicated with each class below and is worn for the end of the year showcase on stage.
Explanation of Levels
Levels 1,1a and 2 are combination classes designed for the beginner. Classes are 1 hour to 11/2 hour in duration.
(On-line registration is permitted)
Levels 3 and 3a are for the advanced beginner. Combination classes are taught with ballet now being a separate class. Classes are 1 hour in duration
(These classes require pre-approval to enroll)
Ballet 1/Tap/Hip Hop Fusion

2nd gradeDress code: Light blue camisole leotard/light blue skirt/tap shorts/Berest T-shirt/bike shorts/ pink or skin tone tights and ballet shoes , tan tap shoes/tan jazz shoe, hair in ponytail
Ballet 2/Tap/Hip Hop Fusion
3rd gradeDress code: Grape camisole leotard/grape skirt/tap shorts/Berest T-shirt/bike shorts/ pink or skin tone tights and ballet shoes black oxford tap shoes/tan jazz shoe, hair in ponytail
Ballet 3
4th gradeDress code: Burgundy leotard, pink tights, burgundy skirt, / pink or skin tone tights and ballet shoes, hair in ponytail
Tap/Hip Hop Fusion 3

Ballet 3a
